LANTANA, Fla. (CBS12) — Officer Rose White's passion is very obvious when you see her in front of her criminal justice class at Santaluces High School in Lantana.

For Officer White, teaching and law enforcement are both just part of who she is.

We rewarded Officer White with the Tools For Teachers Prize.

CBS12 awarded her $312 dollars for her school supply budget.

“This actually is the most rewarding job of anything I’ve ever done,” said Officer White.

Officer White was once a kindergarten teacher and is now a police officer for Palm Beach County Schools.

Not only does she help her students find their voices and their own passions, she also helps organize fundraisers to buy shoes for children in need.

“Knowing that I make a difference. The kids let me know that I make a difference,” said Officer White.
